Terms of Use
These terms are between you and Nuvella Labs, which provides the Nuvella app.
The service
Nuvella suggests safer-weighted walking and biking routes using public data and environmental signals. Safety scores and routes are relative estimates, not guarantees. Data can be incomplete, late or wrong, and conditions change faster than any data source. No app can ensure your safety: stay aware of your surroundings and always follow local guidance and law. Nuvella is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call your local emergency number (911 in the United States).
Share My Walk
A Share My Walk link shows your location to anyone who has it: live during the walk, then as last seen until the link expires 24 hours after the walk's last update. Share it only with people you trust. Nuvella does not watch walks for you and does not call or text anyone on your behalf.
Subscription
Free accounts include a limited number of safest routes plus unlimited emergency features (SOS and routing to a safe place). Paid subscriptions (monthly or annual) are billed through your App Store or Google Play account, renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed or cancelled in your store account settings. Deleting your Nuvella account does not cancel a subscription; cancel it in the store as well. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies on iOS.
Acceptable use
Don't submit false community reports, probe or abuse the service, or use it for any unlawful purpose, including tracking someone without their knowledge. We may remove reports and suspend accounts that endanger other users.
Data sources
Safety estimates are built from public data published by third parties, such as police open-data portals and OpenStreetMap. Their credits and notices are listed in the app under Safety Dashboard, Data sources.
Liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nuvella is not liable for harm arising from reliance on route suggestions or safety estimates.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will say so in the app before it takes effect.
